A YEAR AND A DAY
PRIESTESS ARTS MENTORSHIP
A Year of Seasons. A Lifetime of Remembering.
A year-long initiatory journey into sacred dance, ritual arts, feminine wisdom, and embodied devotion.
There comes a time when the dance opens a door to something more.
Perhaps you have journeyed through the six-month R.M.A. Sacred Dance Mentorship and feel called to explore the wider landscape beyond movement: the art of ritual, the wisdom of the seasons, the language of symbols, the mysteries of the Tarot, and the creative practices that bring the sacred into everyday life.
Or perhaps you arrive through another doorway. You may already have a rich personal practice, a background in embodied arts, or a deep curiosity about mythology, earth-based Goddess traditions, and the Priestess Arts. You feel the call to bring these threads together, not simply as ideas to study, but as practices to explore, embody, and make your own.
Year and a Day is an invitation to deepen your relationship with the practices, stories, and wisdom that call to you.
Beginning at Imbolc, as the returning light stirs beneath the surface of winter, this guided journey follows the Wheel of the Year through thirteen months of seasonal study, embodied practice, ritual, archetypal inquiry, and creative exploration.
Together, we explore sacred dance, ritual design and facilitation, Tarot and symbolic wisdom, lunar rhythms, botanical traditions, and the cultivation of a personal spiritual practice. Through guided teaching, experiential sessions, reflection, and creative integration, you are invited to weave what you learn into the fabric of your own life.
This is not about becoming someone else, adopting a prescribed identity, or mastering every art in a single year. It is about developing a more intimate relationship with what you value, what you desire, what you are ready to release, and what you choose to devote yourself to.
Rooted in the non-dogmatic, earth-based Goddess traditions that inform the Ritual Movement Arts Method, this mentorship offers a space for curiosity, discernment, and embodied learning. You are invited to engage with ancient stories and symbolic traditions while discovering what their meanings might hold for you in contemporary life.
THE THREE GATES OF THE JOURNEY
The year unfolds through three initiatory gates: Desire, Sovereignty, and Devotion.
DESIRE
Listen for What Is Calling.
Every meaningful journey begins with a stirring.
We begin by turning toward the inner spark: the longing, curiosity, creative impulse, and deep values asking for our attention. Through movement, reflection, ritual, and archetypal inquiry, we explore the difference between what we have been taught to want and what feels genuinely alive within us.
Desire becomes more than something to pursue. It becomes a doorway into self-knowledge, a way of listening for the life we wish to create.
SOVEREIGNTY
Become the Keeper of Your Own Wisdom.
As the light reaches its fullness and begins to turn, our inquiry shifts toward discernment, boundaries, inner authority, and responsibility.
We explore how to listen deeply without surrendering our judgment, how to honor our own experience without assuming it must be another person's truth, and how to engage with spiritual and symbolic traditions with curiosity, integrity, and care.
Sovereignty is the practice of becoming an active participant in your own path: able to question, choose, and stand in relationship with what you believe.
DEVOTION
Choose What You Will Tend.
As the year moves into darkness and begins its return toward the light, we gather the threads of our learning.
We explore devotion not as perfection, obligation, or self-sacrifice, but as the conscious practice of tending what matters. Through reflection, creative expression, and integration, we consider what we are ready to carry forward—and how we might serve our values with greater care, clarity, and integrity.
Devotion becomes a lived choice: the art of returning, again and again, to what we have chosen to nurture.
A LIVING PRACTICE THROUGH THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR
Throughout the mentorship, we weave together the many strands of the Priestess Arts.
Sacred Dance & Embodied Wisdom
Explore movement as a language of expression, inquiry, and connection, deepening your relationship with the body as a source of creative possibility.
The Wheel of the Year, Rituals of the 8 Sacred Sabbaths
Walk with the eight seasonal Sabbats, observing the changing rhythms of the natural world and exploring how seasonal themes can inform personal reflection, ritual, and everyday life.
Somatic Bellydance, Creative Expression & Grounding Tools
Bring your discoveries into journals, sacred dance movement, personal rituals, symbolic explorations, and creative offerings that reflect your evolving relationship with the work.
Divination: An Introduction to Tarot
Study the imagery and symbolism of the Tarot, develop your relationship with the cards, and explore divination as a reflective and interpretive practice.
Ritual Arts & Holding Space in a Trauma-Informed Way
Learn the elements of meaningful ritual and explore how to shape and facilitate gatherings with intention, consent, clear boundaries, and respect for individual experience.
13 Moons, Lunar Rhythms & Personal Practice
Work with lunar cycles as a framework for observation, reflection, and intention-setting, developing practices that support your own ongoing inquiry.
Botanical Traditions & the Earth Wisdom
Explore selected plants, their histories, cultural associations, and place in everyday ritual and botanical traditions, approaching plant knowledge with curiosity, context, and discernment.
These strands are not separate subjects to collect and leave behind. They are invitations to build a living relationship with the arts, one that can continue to deepen and change long after the year has ended.
HOW WE JOURNEY TOGETHER
We gather two to three times each month for guided teaching, experiential practice, reflection, and integration.
Each session offers an opportunity to explore the month's themes, work with the material directly, and learn through both personal inquiry and shared conversation.
Between gatherings, the workbook becomes a companion for your observations, creative explorations, questions, and discoveries. Seasonal practices and reflective prompts invite you to bring the learning into your daily life at a pace that allows for genuine engagement.
The emphasis is not on accumulating more information. It is on allowing what you learn to become something you can question, practice, interpret, and carry forward with discernment.
This is a guided learning journey rather than a prescribed spiritual attainment or professional qualification. You are not expected to have all the answers. You are invited to participate with curiosity, self-responsibility, and a willingness to remain in conversation with what you discover.
TWO PATHWAYS INTO THE WORK
There is more than one doorway into the world of Ritual Movement Arts. The right starting point depends on your experience, your interests, and the kind of study you feel ready to undertake.
Begin with the Body
R.M.A. Sacred Dance Mentorship | Six Months
For women who are new to the R.M.A. Method, or who wish to establish a foundation in embodied movement, the Sacred Dance Mentorship offers a six-month study of Sacred Somatic Belly Dance, feminine embodiment, musicality, ritual, and the Vitality Practices.
It is the recommended starting point for those who wish to develop their relationship with the body and movement before entering the wider study of the Priestess Arts.
Enter the Priestess Arts
Year and a Day | Thirteen Months
If you already have a well-established relationship with movement, ritual, or embodied spiritual practice, you may feel ready to enter Year and a Day directly.
This journey welcomes women who bring curiosity, commitment, and the capacity for reflective, self-directed learning, whether their path began with R.M.A. or elsewhere.
These are distinct journeys within the same living school, each with its own rhythm, emphasis, and depth of study. The Sacred Dance Mentorship is a recommended foundation, not a requirement for every woman. What matters is choosing the pathway that best supports your learning at this point in your life.
WHO IS THIS JOURNEY FOR?
Year and a Day is for the woman who feels called to explore beyond technique and into the wider landscape of the Priestess Arts.
You may be drawn to mythology, ritual, the Tarot, plant traditions, seasonal living, or the creative relationship between the body and the sacred. You may be seeking a more intentional personal practice, a deeper understanding of symbolic traditions, or a meaningful structure through which to explore your own questions.
You do not need to identify as a priestess, follow a particular spiritual path, or subscribe to a fixed belief system. You are invited to arrive with curiosity, respect for the traditions we explore, and a willingness to meet your own experience with honesty.
This journey is for women who want to engage with these arts thoughtfully, not to be handed a fixed set of answers, but to develop the discernment to ask better questions, the confidence to make their own choices, and the commitment to put what matters into practice.
THE INVITATION
There are seasons when we are called to learn a new form. And there are seasons when we are called to listen more deeply to what the form is teaching us.
Year and a Day is an invitation into that second kind of learning: a year of tending your inner fire, walking with the seasons, studying the language of symbols, and creating a more conscious relationship with the practices that give your life meaning.
Let your desire become a question. Let your questions deepen into discernment. Let your discernment clarify what you choose to serve.
And let devotion become not a promise to be perfect, but a practice of returning to what matters, with presence, integrity, and an open heart.
Follow the Wheel. Enter the mysteries. Discover the art of devotion.
